1 For melodic stems (vocals or single-line instruments): CutKnot detects the notes and generates MusicXML and MIDI as a starting point for converting to MIDI notes or importing into ACE Studio. It is an approximation of the melody — meant to speed up the process, not to deliver a faithful transcription; review and adjust the notes at the destination. Stems without a stable melody (dialogue, noise, percussion) are not converted.
2 Trial: deactivating the Mac ends the trial — only do it when you are actually replacing the trial with a paid edition.
